面對不斷上升的客量,新福利於二零零八年決定向海格購入新車,訂單包括六架車身全長十二米的KLQ6126G,成為不單是新福利以至澳門街有史以來首款長達十二米的公共巴士,亦因其載客量高達九十人而成為澳門街上載客量最高的巴士。

澳門半島街道受制於早年發展,一般都是比較狹窄,但主幹路線途經的道路,郤仍可以容納大型巴士行走,所以過往澳門巴士一直以小型巴士作主力,若干幹線則獲安排車長十米大型巴士服務乘客。直到二零零四年,新福利一口氣從英國引進四十架飛鏢巴士,當中包括二十架長十一米的飛鏢,憑藉可以運載七十五名乘客,迅即成為主幹路線3號的主力,而十一米長的飛鏢亦一度成為澳門街上最長的公共巴士。當六架KLQ6126G於二零零八年十月抵澳投入服務後,同樣迅即安排行走3號線,以滿足該線龐大需求。有感這批十二米海格表現稱職,新福利再訂購多九架同款新車,並於二零零九年年中投入服務。機械規格方面盡是海格巴士基本標準,東風康明斯引擎,福伊特全自動波箱,以及由主引擎驅動的開利超卓空調系統,而最易分辨兩批巴士,就是第二批新車配用橙色LED牌箱。

在新巴士營運模式下,3號線經營權由新福利手上轉到維澳蓮運,這批海格KLQ6126G便改為行走往返皇朝廣場及筷子基的1A線,而首批KLQ6126G的綠色磁控牌箱,亦於稍後時間改用橙色LED牌箱。雖然其龐大載客量對疏導主幹路線有莫大幫助,不過由於車廂地台離地較高,乘客進出車廂時需要攀爬兩級梯級,可以說是這款車型的一個缺點。目前大部份KLQ6126G已經開始從營運車隊退下來,作租賃或訓練車長之用,直至二零二零二月中為止,只有五架仍然行走1A線。今天澳門街上十二米巴士已經不是新鮮事,這實在是拜當年這批巨無霸成功所賜。

A batch of 6 Higer KLQ6126G was acquired by Transmac in the purchasing order made in 2008 to cope with the growing demand. The overall length of KLQ612G was 12m and 90 passengers with 32 seatings can be carried, they were not only the first 12m public bus model in both Transmac and Macau, but also the the highest capacity bus model.

Restricted to the earlier development, most of the roads within the Macau Peninsula was generally narrow and only minibus manage to pass through, while the roads that the trunk service passing through was still suitable for the full-sized single decker 10m in length. Transmac introduced a batch of 40 Dart SLF from Alexander Dennis in 2004 and half of it was 11m version which once was the longest public bus model in Macau. The Dart SLF was soon assigned on route 3 with their relative high capacity of 75 passengers can be accommodated. After the arrival of the KLQ6126G in mid. of Oct., 2008, Transmac deployed all of them on route 3 along with the Dart SLF to meet the demand. As their good performance, Transmac soon took another delivery of 9 KLQ6126G and commissioned in mid. of 2009.

The second batch of Higer KLQ6126G featured with orange coloured LED display and shared the same mechanical specification with the first batch of KLQ6126G, these included the Dongfeng Cummins engine with the Voith fully automatic gearbox and the roof-mounted Carrier-Sutrak air conditioning unit.

Under the new bus operation mode, route 3 was transferred to Reolian and the Higer KLQ6126G was allocated on route 1A linking Fai Chi Kee and NAPE/Rua De Coimbra. The green flip-dot route display fitted on first batch of KLQ6126G was replaced with the orange coloured LED display. Though their high capacity, the high floor and step-entranced causing inconvenience to passengers. Only 5 KLQ6126 still active on route 1A at present and the other were either as training bus or bus hiring. The success of KLQ6126G should be mentioned when it was a common sight for 12m single deckers serving commuters in Macau.
